Your account
Delete your account
Three ways to do it. All of them delete the same thing, and none of them need our permission.
What gets deleted
Your Rootmates account and the personal data attached to it: your profile and display name, your habits and completion history, your streaks and levels, your private journal, your notes and comments, your squad chat messages, and every photo you uploaded - avatar, chat photos and private progress photos.
If you own a squad, ownership passes to another member so the squad survives; if you were its only member, the squad is deleted with you. Deletion is immediate in our live systems. Residual copies in encrypted backups expire on the normal cycle - the exact window is in the Privacy Policy. It cannot be undone, and there is no grace period to change your mind.
1. From inside the app
The fastest route, if you still have Rootmates installed: Settings / Profile → Delete account, confirm, done. You do not have to contact anybody, and it takes effect straight away.
2. From this page
If you have already removed the app, use this. Sign in with the same method you use in Rootmates, type DELETE, and it is gone.

3. By email
If you cannot sign in at all, email feedback@root-mates.com from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may have to check that the account is yours before we act - that check protects you - and then we delete it.
Questions
What we hold and how long we hold it is in the Privacy Policy. What ending your account means for the rest of the agreement is in the Terms of Use.
